One Day Sailing Experience for a school class
Our sailing programmes are designed to give students a significant educational experience coupled with the important elements of safety and fun.
There can be few things more wholesome and healthy for our kids than sailing. The combination of fresh air, activity, responsibility and being a member of a small tight team, brings a sense of pride in achievement. In addition, children who do not do well in the classroom are given a chance to shine and frequently do.
Our programme covers the five Key Competencies from the new New Zealand Curriculum; Thinking, Using language, Managing self, Relating to others and Participating and contributing.
The Canterbury Sailing School has been teaching sailing for over ten years. Now each season, over 3000 children from more than forty Canterbury Primary and Intermediate schools join us at Lake Rua for their first sailing experience.
