Programme options

A Day's Sailing Experience at one of our Lake venues preceded by a School Visit

Option 1

To give the best outcomes for your students, one of our coaches visits your school for a 1½ hour session with each class. We give a general introductory talk, concentrating on water safety, weather, and clothing. We also introduce the boat that will be used on the sailing day, show how to rig it, and demonstrate some of the equipment. Then using a simulator each student has a turn in a boat getting to practice how to helm it.

$832.00 (minimum charge) for a class up to 26 students. If there are more than 26 we charge $32.00 per student.

This covers: An introductory visit to your school by one of our coaches, and a day at one of our lake venues, with 10 Optimist sailing craft, 2 Rescue Craft and 2 coaches.

A DAY'S SAILING EXPERIENCE AT ONE OF OUR LAKE VENUES PRECEDED BY A SCHOOL VISIT INCLUDING POOL CAPSIZE SESSION

OPTION 2

We have found these capsize sessions to be a valuable confidence building tool when combined with our visit to your school (as in Option 1 above). We bring two instructors and while half the class are in the pool the other half are having the safety talk and introduction.

$988.00 (minimum charge) for a class up to 26 students. If there are more than 26 we charge $38.00 per student.

This covers: A visit to your school by two of our coaches with introduction and pool capsize session, and a day at one of our lake venues, with 10 Optimist sailing craft, 2 Rescue Craft and 2 coaches.

OPTION 3

A day sailing & instruction, including shore based introduction and a general water safety talk:

$780.00 (minimum charge) for a class up to 26 students. If there are more than 26 we charge $30.00 per student.

This covers: A day at one of our lake venues, with 10 Optimist sailing craft, 2 Rescue Craft and 2 Instructors.

All prices quoted include GST.

Charges are based on a minimum class size of 26 students. Classes over this size will be charged per student. For Lake Hood our prices are the same but we will be working with schools to have groups of 28 to 30 students. For the last 4 years we have averaged just over 26 students per class group.
