LEARN TO SAIL courses

Our courses are designed around three hour sessions at Lake Rua.

After School - Weekends - Holidays

Sessions times: 9:30 to 12:30 - 1:00 to 4:00 and 4:00 to 7:00. Sessions require a minimum number of students to run.

You have three ways in which to participate in our Learn to Sail programme.

Canterbury Sailing School course

The core of our programmes.

Join one of our regular 8 session courses coming to Lake Rua once or twice a week for 4 or 8 weeks, or a school holiday course over 4 to 14 days. Cost $350 per sailor.

This course will have a new sailor sailing comfortably and ready to join a yacht club and join in club sailing.

Design your own course

Together we work out 8 session times that suit your programme and ours - several times a week or just days that suit. Cost $450 per sailor.

We are happy to talk to you about options that suit your schedule and budget.

Private sessions

We plan your course with you and work with 1 to 3 sailors to suit your schedule.

If you miss a session then we work with you to catch up. There might be an extra charge for this.
