LEARN TO SAIL

Learning to sail is within reach of most people. Whether you want to mooch around the harbour, sail with family and friends, race around the buoys or sail across oceans, Canterbury Sailing School can help you achieve your goals in a friendly and professional way.

Our Learn to Sail courses are designed for both individuals and families who want to learn together. They run most weekends and evenings during the summer and school holidays.

Schools Sailing

Each season our One Day Sailing Experience for Schools attracts over 3000 Canterbury children from over forty Primary and Intermediate schools to our Lake Rua venue.  Schools recognise the value of these sailing programmes as an educational, sport and water confidence-building tool.

The Team at Canterbury Sailing School are all keen qualified and active sailors, who have a depth of experience - from sailing around the estuary to sailing around the world; they also include top overseas coaches. Above all, they are friendly and want to see you succeed.

So, no matter what you want out of sailing Canterbury Sailing School can help you, your family and friends.

For over ten years, Canterbury Sailing School has been introducing and teaching people of all ages to sail – they range in age from their 60’s to the youngest a pre-schooler from St Albans.
